“Tickets To My Downfall” – Machine Gun Kelly’s departure

When Blink-182’s singer Travis Barker featured on “I Think I’m OKAY” on 2019’s Hotel Diablo, it was an early sign that the next move in the rapper’s career would be to approach the pop-punk genre, forgotten by everyone apart from Green Day. Now, it is back on the top spot of the Billboard charts and in the wake of the post-punk revival, we can start talking about a pop punk-revival. But is a rapper such as Machine Gun Kelly the right person to do the movement justice? Douglas DahlstrΓΆm finds out below.
