Born and raised in Baltimore, Julien Chang is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer whose music holds incredible integrity and exceptional musicality.
Gaining recognition from major publications such as Pitchfork and Billboard, his debut album, “Jules” (2019), is a certified classic in the burgeoning artist’s evergrowing catalog.
In high school, he was known for playing the trombone and making beats for local rap artists, but in his spare time he was working in his basement, honing in on his craft with various instruments and producing in his in-home studio, all whilst keeping it on the down low. His sound ranges from jazz, R&B, folk, and psychedelic pop.
